Talking the Future of Education
With Education being the cornerstone of every society, the Turkish - Cameroonian Relationship holds Educational development among the top of its priority areas of collaboration as evident by various Turkish investments in the Educational sector of the Country.
In line with advancing this relationship, the Honorary Consul of Türkiye in Douala who also holds the position of President of the CTBC Nfon Mukete met with the Leaders of MAARIF Foundation at the Turkish Honorary Consulate in Douala yesterday to discuss their ideas and plans in Cameroon.
The Turkish Maarif Foundation serves as a gateway to international educational arena of Türkiye that will contribute to enhancing cultural and civilizational interaction and paving the way for achieving the common wellbeing. Together with the Ministry of National Education, TMF which was established by the enacted law on June 17th 2016 by the Turkish Parliament is the sole entity authorized to provide educational services abroad. As a non-profit public educational foundation, TMF is entitled to run institutions from pre-school to higher education
Top on the agenda was their expansion plans in Cameroon. The Foundation has such a big interest by International and Cameroon parents in the MAARIF curriculum which has necessitated very many visits by the board of the school to cameroon and deep discussions with both the Ambassador, Honorary Consul and the Executive Director of the CTBC.
