H.E. Ambassador Volkan ISIKCI in Douala
The Turkish Ambassador – H.E Ambassador Volkan ISIKCI together with The Founders and General Managers of Voya Cameroon – The Turkish Visa Company, Istanbul Restaurant and Istanbul Mobilier had a power breakfast meeting with The Honorary Consul of Türkiye in Douala – Cameroon and The Executive Director of the Cameroon Türkiye Business Council in Douala yesterday where they discussed plans for 2022 for Türkiye-Cameroon businesses.
This year, CTBC intends, among others, to coordinate another trade mission for Cameroon Investors to Türkiye, plan a visit of manufacturing cities for Cameroon entrepreneurs in Manufacturing and lead other initiatives that will give its members a more successful business year.
After this breakfast meeting, the team proceeded to visit the Douala Grand Mall where they visited the Turkish retail Manufacturer and store LC Waikiki. Waikiki's interior design was done by Mr. Mehmet – CEO Istanbul Mobilier which located in Yaounde and is working on plans to expand to Douala. Mr. Mehmet is also working on the interior design of another Turkish brand which will open pretty soon – DeFacto. Mr. Mehmet also works on homes, kitchens, shops, offices, just to name a few.
Networks are indeed the fuel to successful businesses. While business deals are made between our members and partners almost on a daily basis, the excitement never escapes us as once again, we were excited to experience H.E Nfon Ekoko Mukete the Hon Consul of Türkiye request and agree a deal with Mr. Mehmet for a facelift for his residence kitchen.
When their business in Douala is concluded, the Ambassador and team will continue their business trip to the Central African Republic for further business exploits. Suffice to say, exciting times are ahead for CTBC members.
