DEİK/Türkiye - Cameroon Business Council was established in 2014 with the purpose of improving bilateral business relations. The Business Council organizes business forums, business delegations’ visit, meetings and seminars in order to fulfill its mission. Council`s main task is to bring Turkish and domestic businesspeople together in order to identify business opportunities and turn them into concrete business partnerships.

This round table which brought together representatives of textile, agriculture, construction, logistics and digital technologies sectors was convened to discuss and evaluate important business and investment opportunities between both countries in line with the ongoing efforts by both countries and business councils to supercharge trade volumes between the Republics of Türkiye and Cameroon to up to $400 million.

This meeting was a follow up of all of the efforts that have been put in place so far, including, but not limited to the first CTBC trade mission to Türkiye earlier this year, to the Turkish Business Delegation in Cameroon, the week-long visit of the TCBC President to Turkish businesses in Cameroon, the Türkiye – Africa Business and Economic Forum and the regular exchanges between the TCBC President and the CTBC President - HRM Senator Mukete IV Ekoko.

As the Republic of Türkiye looks forward to increasing its trade volumes with Africa and especially in Cameroon, various ideas and projects are being discussed such as the implementation of an Industrial Free Zone, various trade missions, fairs and round table discussions, etc.
